Overview
Using Zapier, you can connect CASEpeer and LeanLaw so that new leads and cases in CASEpeer automatically create the corresponding client and matter records in LeanLaw. This eliminates duplicate data entry between your case management and billing systems.
Beta Notice: The LeanLaw Zapier app is currently in beta and is not fully supported by the LeanLaw support team. We welcome your feedback at product@myleanlaw.com as we continue to expand functionality ahead of a full release.
What You'll Need
A LeanLaw account with API access
A CASEpeer account
A Zapier account (free or paid)
How It Works
Zapier connects CASEpeer and LeanLaw using a simple "trigger and action" workflow called a Zap. When something happens in CASEpeer (the trigger), Zapier automatically performs an action in LeanLaw.
Here are some common workflows:
Zap | Trigger (CASEpeer) | Action (LeanLaw) |
Push Clients | New Lead — triggers instantly when a new lead is captured | Create Client in LeanLaw |
Push Matters | New Case — triggers instantly when a new case is created | Create Matter in LeanLaw |
Both CASEpeer triggers fire instantly, so your LeanLaw records are created in real time.
Getting Started
Log in to Zapier and click Create a Zap
Set the trigger: Search for CASEpeer, select it, and choose the trigger (e.g., New Lead or New Case)
Connect your CASEpeer account and test the trigger
Set the action: Search for LeanLaw, select it, and choose the corresponding action (e.g., Create Client or Create Matter)
Connect your LeanLaw account using your API key
Map the fields from CASEpeer to LeanLaw (see tips below)
Test the Zap and turn it on
Field Mapping Tips
CASEpeer Lead → LeanLaw Client
Map the CASEpeer lead name to the LeanLaw client Name
CASEpeer Case → LeanLaw Matter
Map the CASEpeer case name to the LeanLaw matter Name
LeanLaw requires a Client, Responsible User, and Matter Type (Hourly, Flat, or Contingency) — use LeanLaw's built-in dropdown pickers to select these
If you're also syncing leads, you can use a CASEpeer Case Search step to look up the case's associated lead and map it to the correct LeanLaw client
