We've made it simpler than ever to access the payment link associated with any individual invoice. This article will guide you through the process, ensuring you can swiftly and securely share payment links with your clients.

Note: This feature is only available for firms using Lean Align (previously LeanLaw Payments). Click here to find out more.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Navigate to Your Invoices

    • Start by heading to the Billing section and select Manage Invoices.

  2. Locate the Desired Invoice

    • Scroll through your list of invoices or use the search function to find the specific invoice you're looking for.

  3. Accessing the Payment Link

    • Once you've located the right invoice, click on the three dots (options menu) next to it.

    • From the dropdown menu, select Copy Payment Link. The payment link for that invoice will be copied to your clipboard.

  4. Sharing the Payment Link

    • You can now easily paste this link into any communication platform, be it an email or text message. This link will direct your client to the payment page associated with that specific invoice.

Things to Remember

  • Existing Payment Links: If a payment link for an invoice already exists, using the Copy Payment Link option will simply copy the existing link.

  • New Payment Links: If no payment link has been generated for an invoice, selecting the option will prompt LeanLaw to generate a new one. This new link will be used if you later decide to send the invoice through LeanLaw.

  • Full Balance Payment Links: Full balance or aggregate payment links are not supported with this functionality, but can be found in Gravity Legal after the invoice has been emailed from LeanLaw at least once.

Benefits of Using this Payment Link Feature

  1. Flexibility: Whether you're processing an over-the-phone payment or sending a custom email, this feature ensures you have the necessary link at your fingertips. You can still use LeanLaw's built in email service to send the invoice and payment link(s) directly to your client.

  2. Efficiency: No need to toggle between LeanLaw and other applications. Your payment link is now accessible directly from the billing page.

  3. Integration: Payments made using this link will be seamlessly integrated into both LeanLaw and QuickBooks.

Conclusion

LeanLaw continues to prioritize user experience and convenience. With the new payment link feature, managing and sharing invoice links becomes a breeze. Should you encounter any issues or have further queries, our support team is always here to help.
