If your firm repeats many actions over weeks or months, the Duplicate Time Entry will save you time. Clicking Duplicate Time Entry on an existing time entry creates a new entry by copying all of that time entry's information, and setting the date of the duplicate to today's date. Even if you want to change the date or edit other information before saving, the Duplicate Time Entry button can still save you time by providing you a template.

Where is the Duplicate Time Entry button?

If you're viewing time entries from the Time Entries page, the Duplicate Time Entry button is in the triple dot dropdown, located on the far right side of the time entry. If you're viewing time entries from the Calendar page, it's on the upper right corner of the time entry. Note their locations in the following pictures. The pictures below indicate the Duplicate Time Entry button's location with a green arrow.

How to use the Duplicate Time Entry button

1. Click the Duplicate Time Entry button

Locate the time entry you wish to copy within either the Calendar or the Time Entries page and click the Duplicate Time Entry button on that time entry.

2. Verify or edit your entry

When you duplicate a time entry, LeanLaw will copy all information in the time entry and change the duplicate time entry's date to today. However, you can change the date or alter the time entry any way you need.

3. Save your entry

Once you've verified all of the information on your time entry is correct, save the time entry by clicking the green Save button.

A gif of this process is available below. You can right click it and open it in a new tab to enlarge the image.
