When you’re invited to join LeanLaw, you’ll land on a welcome screen like the one shown below. This is where you’ll choose how you'd like to log into LeanLaw moving forward.

What you’re seeing:

You’ve been invited to LeanLaw using your email address. Now, you’ll choose how you want to sign in—and stick with that method going forward.

Choose the Sign-In Option That Matches Your Preferences:

You’ll see three buttons:

  • Google
Use this if your email is connected to a Google Workspace (Gmail). You’ll log in using your Google credentials through Single Sign-On (SSO).

  • Office 365
Use this if your email is part of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Exchange, etc.). This option logs you in using your Microsoft account through SSO.

  • LeanLaw Password
Don’t use Google or Microsoft to log in? No problem! This option lets you set a LeanLaw-specific password to log in with your email address directly.

You only need to choose once. Once selected, this becomes your default login method going forward.

Need Help Deciding?

If you're unsure which option is best:

  • Ask your IT admin which email provider your firm uses.

  • If you regularly log in to your work email via Gmail or Microsoft Outlook, use the corresponding SSO option.

  • Otherwise, the LeanLaw Password option is perfect for a standalone setup.
