This article will provide instructions on the process of removing the Client ID from an invoice.

Note: This action will not update all invoices. If you wish to remove the Client ID from all invoices, you will need to do so manually for each client in QuickBooks.

1. Access QuickBooks Online

Begin by opening your web browser and navigating to QuickBooks Online. Log in to your account using your credentials.

2. Navigate to the Sales tab

Once logged in, locate the Sales tab in the navigation menu and click on it. From the lists menu, select Customers.

3. Select the Client

Find the client whose Client ID you wish to remove from your invoices. Click on the client's name to open their account.

4. Edit Client Information

Within the client's profile, locate and click on the Edit button. This will allow you to modify the client's details.

5. Adjust Customer Display Name

Under the Customer display name field, you'll see the client's name followed by their ID. To remove the ID, edit the display name to include only the client's name without the ID. For example, if the current display name is "Client Name - ID123," change it to "Client Name" without the ID suffix.

Step 6: Save Changes

After editing the display name, ensure to save the changes by clicking on the Save button.
