LeanLaw offers a variety of advanced reporting tools that allow users to gain valuable insights into their firm's data. These reports provide specialized metrics, filters, and export options to help users measure performance, allocate payments, and make informed decisions. In this article, we will explore how users can effectively utilize LeanInsight's reporting in LeanLaw.

Accessing LeanInsights

To access the advanced reporting features in LeanLaw, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Reports button located on the main navigation bar.

  2. This will take you to the Reports page, where you can find a variety of reports categorized into different sections.

Note: You may need to click on the grey arrow button on the top left of your screen to expand or collapse the reporting menu.

Choosing the Right Report

LeanLaw offers a wide range of reports to cater to various needs. Here are some tips for choosing the right report:

Advanced Reporting

A list of pre-generated reports that will give you insight into how your firm is operating. You can learn more about the reports in this section by hovering your mouse over the information icon next to each report.

Currently, these are the reports available under this section:

Firm Invoice Details

Shows information about the status of invoices, defaulting to invoices in the past year. It contains outstanding balances, partial payments, completed payments, and invoice data.

Firm Payment Trends

Shows Information about the frequency and total amount of payments over time.

Firm Time Analysis

Shows information about time entries within a specific period, defaulting to the last 30 days. Designed to help firm administrators understand the timekeeper productivity and overall time billed by clients.

Matter Details

Shows time entries, expenses, and fixed fee details based on matter. The report can be filtered by the entry date and the particular matter. It is designed to show the details of an individual matter.

Monthly Billing Report

Shows time entries, expenses, and fixed fees for the period selected. It can be filtered by invoice date, client, matter, and invoice number. It will only show time, expenses, and fixed fees included in invoices (at any stage).

My Time Analysis

Shows information about your user's time entries within a specific period, defaulting to the last 7 days. It is designed to help timekeepers understand and visualize their time entries to maximize their time capture.

Outstanding Invoice

Shows invoice data for invoices with outstanding balances. It shows information about the outstanding amount, which clients have them, and invoice details.

My Custom Reports
