Can I add Payment Instructions to an Invoice?

Q: Is there a place to write payment instructions on an invoice?

A: Yes! Our Draft Editor allows you to customize a message if you need to include additional information for the client. Adding a note is an opportunity to communicate to your client payment instructions or other information. You can customize the note in any draft invoice. 1. Navigate to Billing

Click on Billing in the main navigation bar. This will bring you to the Ready to Bill tab in the Billing page.

2. Click on Drafts and Select Invoice

On the Drafts tab, click the invoice to which you wish to add billing instructions. This will open the draft invoice in a pop-up editing window.

3. Create Memo and Apply

In the invoice draft, click the box below the word "Memo" to edit the Invoice Memo. A pop-up up allows you to customize your memo. You can even include Matter Totals which creates a quick summary of items. This is a helpful option with longer and complex invoices with more than one matter.

You're set! From there you can continue to edit the invoice or Approve & Submit.
