To streamline your billing experience in LeanLaw, visit Subscription Settings under Firm Setup. From there, you can:

  • Manage your subscription plan

  • Update payment methods (Credit Card or ACH)

  • Review both upcoming and past invoices

  • Cancel your subscription, when needed

Subscription Plan

In the Plan tab, you can review:

  • Product tier (Core or Pro)

  • Billing cycle (monthly or yearly)

  • Seats (number of users)

  • Billing amount

  • Billing contact email

Update Billing Email Address

  1. Go to the Plan tab

  2. Click Update Email

  3. Enter your updated Billing Email and click Save

Change Product or Plan

This setting allows you to switch between Core and Pro, and between monthly or annual billing cycles.

  1. Navigate to the Plan tab

  2. Click Change Product or Plan

  3. Choose your new product or billing cycle and confirm

Note: Some plan changes may require support assistance. If needed, the LeanLaw team will respond promptly.

Cancel Subscription

You can now cancel your subscription directly from the Plan tab using the Click to Cancel option.

  1. Go to the Plan tab

  2. Click Cancel Subscription

  3. Select a cancellation reason (optional)

  4. Click Confirm Cancellation

Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period. This allows you time to download your LeanLaw data as you will not have access to your data once your account has been cancelled. You will not be billed again after that date.

Add or Update Payment Information

To manage your preferred payment method—Credit Card or ACH/eCheck—visit the Card tab.

Add or Update Credit Card

  1. Go to the Card tab

  2. Select Credit Card

  3. Enter:

    • First and last name on the card

    • Card number, CVV, and expiration date

    • Billing address

  4. Click Update

Note: LeanLaw only stores one card at a time. Adding a new card replaces the existing one.

Switch to ACH/eCheck

  1. Go to the Card tab

  2. Select ACH/eCheck

  3. Enter:

    • Account holder’s full name

    • Bank name

    • Account type (Personal or Business)

    • Routing number and account number

    • Billing address

  4. Review and sign the ACH Authorization Agreement

  5. Click Update

After submission, you’ll receive two micro-deposits (each under $1) within 1–2 business days. To verify your account:

  • Reply with the exact deposit amounts using the green Live Chat button

  • Once verified, your ACH payment method will become active for future invoices

Invoices

The Invoices tab shows:

  • Completed payments

  • Upcoming invoices

If a payment fails, your account access may be temporarily restricted. Please contact support for assistance.

To connect with LeanLaw Support, click the green chat button located in the bottom-right corner of your LeanLaw account. Alternatively, you can reach out via email at support@myleanlaw.com.
