Creating a Completion Based Fixed Fee

Follow this step-by-step guide to create and manage Completion-Based Fixed Fees in LeanLaw.

Completion Based Fixed Fees allow you to bill for work only when it is finished, without associating it with a specific due date.

Method 1: Using the Matter Page

  1. Navigate to the Matter Page

    • Go to the Fixed Fees tab under the selected Matter.

    • Click Add a Fixed Fee.

  2. Enter Fixed Fee Details

    • Amount: Enter the fee amount.

    • Description: Provide a brief explanation of the service.

    • Fee Type: Select On Completion to make it a Completion Based Fixed Fee.

    • Click Create Fixed Fee.

Method 2: Using the Quick Create Option

  1. Use the Quick Create Menu

    • Click the + icon in the top-right corner.

    • Select Fixed Fee.

  2. Fill in the Details

    • Client and Matter: Select the appropriate client and matter.

    • Amount: Enter the fee amount.

    • Description: Provide a clear invoice description.

    • Fee Type: Choose On Completion.

    • Click Create Fixed Fee.
