LeanLaw reporting provides additional information specifically for fixed fees. Fixed fee reporting can be found on the "Billable by Client and Matter" report, the “Billable by Practice Area” report, the "Productivity by Client and Matter" report, the “Productivity by User” report, the “My Productivity” report, and the "Fixed Fee Profitability" report.

Billable Reports (Billable by Client and Matter, Billable by Practice Area)

  1. Fixed Fee Hours: You can now see a specific column for fixed fee hours, indicating the hours tracked against these fees.

  2. Report Columns: Report columns, including those that accommodate fixed fees, are listed in the following order:

    1. Non-billable hours

    2. Billable hours

    3. Amount of billable hours

    4. Fixed fee hours

    5. Amount of fixed fees

Productivity Reports (Productivity by Client and Matter, Productivity by User, My Productivity)

  1. Fixed Fee Hours: There is a specific column for fixed fee hours, indicating the hours tracked against these fees.

  2. Separation of Fixed Fee Hours: Fixed fee hours are separated from non-billable hours, allowing you to view the value of the fixed fee hours.

  3. Fixed Fee Hours Value: The report will show you the value of the time spent on the fixed fee based on the rate stored for the the fixed fee. This allows you to understand the profitability of a matter based on effort.

Fixed Fee Profitability Report:

  1. Individual Fixed Fees: This report allows you to view individual fixed fees. You can see the details for each fixed fee, with an option to drill into specific ones.

  2. Fixed Fee Billable Date: The report will show when a fixed fee was billed. If it's a completion-based fixed fee, it will either show the date of completion if it has been completed or will show “not complete”. Check the box "Show Matters and Show Fixed Fees" to see the "not complete" fixed fees.

  3. Additional Billable Hours: This column reflects any additional hours charged to a fixed fee beyond the set limit. If, for example, you set a limit of 10 hours but charge 12, the additional 2 hours will be displayed here.

  4. Info Dots for Clarification: Info dots allow you to clarify certain information, providing helpful tips to understand the data.

These reports aim to improve the accuracy and clarity of your data. If you have any further questions or need assistance with these changes, please reach out to our support team.
