Fixed Fee Templates help streamline billing by standardizing fees across your firm. Follow these steps to create a Fixed Fee Template.

Navigating to Fixed Fee Templates

  1. Click the gear icon in the top-right corner to open Settings.

  2. Select Fixed Fee Templates from the left menu.

  3. This will open the Fixed Fee Templates page, where all templates are shared across the firm.

Creating a Fixed Fee Template

  1. Click Add Fixed Fee Template.

  2. Enter the Amount of the fixed fee.

  3. Provide an Invoice Description, which will appear on the client’s invoice.

Optional Fields

  • Label: An internal short description (e.g., "Admin Fees" or "Filing Fees"). Clients do not see this.

  • Hourly Limit: Defines the maximum hours included in the fixed fee. Any additional hours will be billed hourly.

  • Limit Rate: If an hourly limit is exceeded, additional hours can be charged at a specified rate (e.g., a discounted rate after the limit is reached).

Invoice User and Revenue Allocation

  • Invoice User: Determines which team member will appear on the invoice by default.

  • Revenue Allocation: Allows assigning portions of the fee to different users for financial tracking.

Finalizing the Fixed Fee Template

  1. After entering the necessary details, click Create Fixed Fee.

  2. The template will now be available for all users in the firm when applying fixed fees to matters.

By using Fixed Fee Templates, you can improve consistency and efficiency in billing, ensuring standardized fees across your firm.
