Fixing the "Must Either Select or Create an Account" Error in LeanLaw

This error means the Default QuickBooks Services field is empty. Fill it in LeanLaw’s expense settings to enable QuickBooks sync.

Solution

To resolve this error, follow these steps:

  1. Log into LeanLaw and navigate to Settings by clicking the gear icon in the top right corner.

  2. Scroll down to Integrations and select QuickBooks.

  3. Click Edit Expense Settings.

  4. Ensure that the Enable QuickBooks Sync option is turned on.

  5. Locate the Default QuickBooks Services field and select an appropriate service.

  6. If no service appears, check QuickBooks to confirm that a corresponding service exists or create one.

  7. Save changes and retry setting up the expense sync.

Once these steps are completed, LeanLaw should be able to sync expenses with QuickBooks without displaying the error.
