LeanLaw offers four ways to track time from the Calendar page, the Time Entries page, the Desktop application, and the LeanLaw Mobile app. We recommend using the Calendar for keeping track of your daily activities, and Time Entries for entering records of past events. Both methods are detailed below.

Tracking time in the Calendar page

1. Click Calendar

Click the Calendar button on LeanLaw's main navigation bar. This will open the Calendar page, showing you all time entries in a daily planner view.

2. Click and drag

Using the times listed on the calendar for reference, bring your cursor to the calendar. A solid bar will appear across the calendar, letting you know what time your cursor is currently hovering over. Click and drag your cursor up or down to another time, and then release your cursor. This will begin a time entry creation for the highlighted time.

3. Fill in the time entry

In Time Entry creation window, fill in all applicable fields. By default, your time entry must have at least a timekeeper, client, matter, and description. Click the green Save button to finish your time entry.
