Importing Clients/Customers from QuickBooks Online in LeanLaw

LeanLaw can import any client and sub-clients from QuickBooks Online.  

Note: A LeanLaw client is a QuickBooks customer and a LeanLaw matter is a QuickBooks sub-customer.

1. Open Settings

In LeanLaw, click the ⚙️ icon in the top right to open Firm Settings.

2. Open your firm's QuickBooks integration settings

In Firm Settings, click on QuickBooks, located underneath the Integrations header. This will open your firm's QuickBooks integration settings.

3. Click Import Clients From QuickBooks

At the bottom of the QuickBooks integration settings page, click the button labeled Import Clients From QuickBooks.

4. Check the boxes for any QuickBooks customers and sub-customers

Select any QuickBooks customers you wish to import into LeanLaw by clicking the checkbox next to their name(s). Once selected by checking the box, you have the opportunity to either create new LeanLaw clients and matters or associate them with existing LeanLaw clients and matter, and choose their accounting type.

5. Click Import Clients

When you've selected all customers you wish to import into LeanLaw, click Import Clients to import them from QuickBooks.
