📋 What Are Custom LEDES Codes?

Custom LEDES codes allow your firm to define your own Tasks, Activities, and Expenses to better reflect your billing workflows. Each set of codes is grouped under a LEDES Category, which you can name however you’d like.

📄 How to Format Your Spreadsheet

To import your custom LEDES codes, prepare a spreadsheet using the following columns:

Column Name

Description

LEDES Category

The name of your custom LEDES code set. Used to group related codes.

LEDES Category Description

A description for the code set (can be the same as the name).

LEDES Code

The actual code (e.g., S101, ABC01).

LEDES Code Description

A short description of what the code is for (e.g., “Document Review”).

LEDES Code Type

Must be one of: Task, Activity, or Expense.
